Coming May 2026, The Registry Theatre Jazz Series presents a weekend of Big Band Music. Saturday, May 23 has two amazing shows: from Hamilton, The Jazz Connection under the direction of Simon Wheeldan at 2:00 PM and then Saturday night, a return to the region by band leader and friend of BBT, Robin Jessome and his Birth of the Cool Orchestra.

Why not take supper in at our partner restaurant Three Kretans or TWH Social, both a short walk from the theatre.

Sunday at 3:00, local big band sensation Big Band Theory will be backing up the beautiful voice of Jontue Ellan. Jontue is a local artist often heard solo or at weddings and corporate events. She has sung with BBT in the past, and for this show will bring selections made famous by Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holliday as well as contemporary singers like Diana Krall and Norah Jones.
